Mark 1:29-39

In the previous passage Jesus cast out the demon by his word. He touches Simon’s mother-in-law, and she is cured, immediately and completely. By evening, the whole town has gathered. In the morning he rises early and goes off to pray before continuing to preach and teach throughout Galilee.

Lord, you live out your ministry selflessly, balancing well the wholeness of doing and being in the presence of the Father. I want to be able to do the same. Will you help me?
